Политика конфиденциальности данных

At TEST MIC (testmic.app), protecting your audio privacy and personal data is the foundation of our engineering architecture. This Data Privacy Policy explains how our microphone testing tools handle audio streams and technical metadata.

1. 100% Local Client-Side Audio Processing

  • Zero Server Audio Uploads or Storage: When you click “Test my mic” and grant microphone permission via your browser’s standard MediaDevices.getUserMedia() API, all PCM audio streams, FFT waveform rendering, and voice playback happen exclusively inside your device’s local memory (RAM).
  • No Background Recording: Our servers at testmic.app never receive, record, analyze, or store any of your voice recordings under any circumstances.
  • Automatic Memory Purge: You can download your test recording locally (as a .wav file) or delete it at any time. As soon as you close the browser tab or refresh the page, all temporary audio buffers are permanently erased from browser memory.

2. Technical Metadata When You Voluntarily Submit Reviews or Comments

We do not collect hardware telemetry when you simply test your microphone on the Online Mic Test homepage or the Quick Mic Check page. Data is only transmitted to our database when you voluntarily complete and submit a public form:

  • Microphone Review Submissions (Microphone Reviews): When you submit a review, we store your chosen display name, pros/cons comments, and the measured technical parameters of the tested microphone (device name, sample rate, bit depth, channel count, latency, OS, and browser) to publish in our public hardware comparison database.
  • Comments & Support Inquiries (Contact): We store the display name, comment text, and email address (when submitted via the contact form) solely to respond to your inquiry.

3. Microphone Permission Controls & Connection Security

  • HTTPS Encryption & Permissions-Policy: All pages on testmic.app enforce TLS/SSL encryption (HTTPS) and strict Permissions-Policy: microphone=(self) headers to block unauthorized third-party scripts from accessing your microphone.
  • Revoking Microphone Access: You can revoke microphone permissions at any time directly through your browser’s address bar (via the lock or microphone icon next to the URL).
  • Minimal Technical Cookies: We only use essential technical tokens (such as anti-CSRF security tokens and language preferences) required for core site functionality.

4. Your Data Rights & Privacy Contact

You have the right to request the modification or removal of any review or comment you have submitted. For any privacy-related requests, please contact the TEST MIC team via our Contact page or email [email protected].
